Imran Khan to keep his hometown seat of Mianwali

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will keep his hometown seat of NA-95 Mianwali, sources informed.

Imran had promised the people of Mianwali that if successful he would keep this seat. The PTI chairman had won the seat with 162,499 votes with the PML-N’s Obaidullah Shadikhel coming in second.

Khan had made history when he bagged five National Assembly seats in the July 25 General Election. Apart from the Mianwali seat, Khan was successful on NA-53 Islamabad, NA-243 Karachi, NA-35 Bannu and NA-131 Lahore.

After Khan vacates these seats, the Election Commission of Pakistan will announce by-elections on them.

Following the election, PTI secured 116 seats in the National Assembly, followed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz with 64 and Pakistan Peoples Party with 43.

PM Khan had ended tolerance for corruption: Fawad Chudry

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday asserted that all state institutions stand by Prime Minister Imran Khan and are working together to lead the country toward development. While talking to journalists, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that before Khan came to power, every politician thought that “corruption was their right”. Czech Republic footballer Josef Sural killed in auto crash in Turkey

Czech Republic international Josef Sural was killed and six other Alanyaspor players were injured Monday when their van crashed on the way home from a Turkish league soccer match. The 28-year-old Sural died in the hospital during emergency surgery, The six other players were reported to be in stable condition. Cavusoglu said Sural and his six teammates hired a private luxury van to return from a game at Kayserispor in central Turkey.
