PM Imran to leave for first official visit to China on Thursday

Prime Minister Imran Khan will leave for a four-day official visit tomorrow. He will begin his visit from 2nd of next month at the invitation of the Chinese leadership.

This will be the first official visit of the Prime Minister to China after assuming office in August 2018.

He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation including the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The visit signifies the closeness and traditional warmth which characterizes Pakistan-China all weather strategic cooperative partnership.

During the visit, Prime Minister Imran Khan will hold meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang.

The two sides will review the entire range of bilateral relations which have enjoyed a long history of mutual trust and support. The two sides will also sign several Agreements and MoUs of Cooperation in diverse fields.

After his visit to Beijing, the Prime Minister will visit Shanghai to participate in First China International Import Expo in Shanghai, where Pakistan is exhibiting a wide range of export products.Prime Minister will be a keynote speaker at the inauguration of the Expo. On the sidelines of Shanghai Forum, Prime Minister will hold meetings with other world leaders.

He will also hold meetings with leaders of Chinese financial and corporate sector.

Death toll in Indonesia quake-tsunami tops 800

The death toll from a powerful earthquake and tsunami in Indonesia leapt to 832 Sunday, as stunned people on the stricken island of Sulawesi struggled to find food and water and looting spread. PM Khan had ended tolerance for corruption: Fawad Chudry

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday asserted that all state institutions stand by Prime Minister Imran Khan and are working together to lead the country toward development. While talking to journalists, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that before Khan came to power, every politician thought that “corruption was their right”. However, PM Khan had ended tolerance for corruption after he assumed office, Chaudhry claimed. Czech Republic footballer Josef Sural killed in auto crash in Turkey

Czech Republic international Josef Sural was killed and six other Alanyaspor players were injured Monday when their van crashed on the way home from a Turkish league soccer match. The 28-year-old Sural died in the hospital during emergency surgery, The six other players were reported to be in stable condition. Cavusoglu said Sural and his six teammates hired a private luxury van to return from a game at Kayserispor in central Turkey. The crash occurred near the entrance to the town of Alanya, on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast. Cavusoglu said the driver of the van was being questioned by police. “Our pain is huge,” Cavusoglu said. State-run Anadolu Agency said the van veered off the road and overturned.
