PAF announces to remember its response against India as 'Operation Swift Retort'

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has announced to remember in history its response on February 27 this year against the enemy aggression as "Operation Swift Retort."

Addressing the 264th Air Staff Presentation meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan said PAF's swift response during the recent Indo-Pak conflict, was the demonstration of our firm resolve, capacity and capability in thwarting nefarious designs of the adversary.

He reiterated his resolve that in case of any misadventure by the adversary, PAF response will be even stronger than before.

At the conclusion of the event, the Air Chief awarded trophies to the bases excelling in various domains.

PML-N leaders Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Miftah Ismail's names placed on ECL

The interior ministry on Friday placed the names of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Miftah Ismail on the Exit Control List. According to the interior ministry, Abbasi and Ismail’s names were placed on the no-fly list on the recommendation of the National Accountability Bureau. Imran-ul-Haq, Uzma Adil Khan, Mubeen Saulat, Shahid Islamuddin and Amir Naseem’s names were also placed on the ECL. Abbasi is accused of illegally awarding a 15-year contract for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal when he was the petroleum minister in former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's cabinet. The case was closed by NAB in 2016 but was reopened in 2018. Ismail is also under investigation in connection with the LNG corruption case. The federal cabinet reportedly gave a go-ahead to place Abbasi, along with others, on the ECL in a meeting earlier this month.

Qurashi urges peoples of Sindh to support PTI for bringing change in Provence
