PM Khan represents Pakistan at 14th OIC Summit today

Prime Minister Imran Khan will represent Pakistan at the 14th Summit of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) being held in Makkah on Friday (today).

The conference titled ‘Makkah Summit: Together for the Future’ is being hosted by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The conference aims to unite Muslim countries on one platform to better tackle the difficulties and challenges they are facing.

Earlier, on his arrival in Madina Munawwarah, Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH) and offered nawafil and prayed for the progress and prosperity of the country and Muslim Ummah.

On the occasion, the doors of Roza-e-Rasool (Peace Be Upon Him) were specially opened for the premier.

Prior to the Prime Minister’s visit, the Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mehmood Qureshi who had arrived earlier to Saudi Arabia and participated in the ministerial meetings of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) where he met various Foreign Ministers and members of the OIC.

IHC to hear Nawaz Sharif’s bail plea on medical grounds today

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will take up the plea filed by the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif seeking bail in the Al-Azizia case on medical grounds on Wednesday (today). The division bench comprising Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani will preside the hearing. In the last hearing, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)had submitted its detailed reply in the court. In a detailed reply submitted to the IHC in response to Sharif’s plea, the anti-graft watchdog stated that the petition at hand is the third one seeking relief on the grounds similar to previous ones and therefore, is not maintainable and liable to be dismissed with exemplary costs. Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday asserted that all state institutions stand by Prime Minister Imran Khan and are working together to lead the country toward development. While talking to journalists, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that before Khan came to power, every politician thought that “corruption was their right”. England inflicted a heavy 104-run defeat over South Africa on Thursday in the opening match of the 2019 World Cup at Kennington Oval in London.
